Here is a recent installation of two external Conservatory Roof Blinds installed in Hertfordshire.
The Conservatory Roof Blinds are particularly effective at dramatically cutting the heat inside the conservatory as well as the glare from the sun, but at the same time not cutting out the light. This is mainly due to the special fabric that is used that reflects the majority of the heat before it even hits the glass.
Due to the design of the conservatory two conservatory roof blinds were used to cover the whole roof. these are electrically operated via a remote control and they can either be operated together or individually. There is also a Sun & Wind sensor so the whole process can be fully automated, allowing the conservatory to stay cool, even if the customer is not at home.
The photos are a little unclear due to the angle that they were taken but the entire roof is covered. It is raised up to allow any windows on the roof to still be able to open. It is also possible to have additional overhang on these blinds up to an additional 1m if required. In this instance the heat was coming directly through the roof so this would not be necessary.
The Conservatory Roof Blinds will now make this room comfortable to use all year round.
