Why choose a Freestanding Awning?

There are two main reasons why you would choose a freestanding awning over a more standard design. Firstly, the level of shade and shelter that a Freestanding Awning can provide is significant. As the design is really two Patio Awnings back to back, you get twice as much shade as you would normally get.

The second reason is where you do not have a sufficient wall to mount an Awning to. If you live in a park home or want an Awning in front of a bay window, or the wall is not strong enough to take the weight of a standard awning, then the Freestanding Awning is the ideal solution.

What are the Awnings made from?

Each Awning system is manufactured using high grade materials to ensure trouble free operation for many years. Any bespoke framework, such as posts in the ground, are manufactured using steel that is first galvanised (for rust protection) and then powder-coated to blend with the surroundings.

The Awning frames are made using aluminium which is string, doesnt rust and is maintenance free.

The fabric is a very important part of the Awning. We use only the highest quality fabrics for our Awnings. These provide the maximum in UV protection, excellent colour fastness (they don't fade in the sun) and, thanks to the latest technology, contain a special coating that keeps the Awning fabric clean and protected from rot and mildew.

All of the electronics in our Awnings are made by Somfy, Somfy is known and respected as the world leader in tubular motor technology and are trusted for their reliability.

Who installs your Awnings?

We only use our own teams of installers to install our products. Each of our teams have years of experience in installing our products and will carry out the installation with a minimum of fuss and disruption. Often completing the full installation within just one day.
