New from Nationwide is the ‘Terrasol’. This product comes with case and side channels, especially designed as a terrace roof. Unlike sun protection products the ‘Terrasol’ can be used even in bad weather to extend your eating or entertainment area, yet is not a permanent structure.

A REVOLUTION IN OUTSIDE DINING ...

Terrasols:The ‘Terrasol’ Terrace Cover has revolutionised outside dining right across Europe, in the lucky south they need large areas covered to protect diners from the heat of the mid day sun, in the north outside diners need protecting against wet and windy weather conditions much the same as our own. Whatever the reason, a ‘Terrasol’ is the perfect answer to keep diners on seats in any bistro, restaurant, café, coffee or tea bar and even in the Traditional English Pub, in fact any establishment that has an outside dining area should have a ‘Terrasol’.

Whatever the weather: The ‘Terrasol’ is a self-supported terrace cover with a spring tension system to keep the fabric taut at all times. Its feet are bolted to the floor keeping it stable even in the worst weather conditions. It has its own purpose designed guttering system to ensure rainwater runs off the cover and away from anyone under the canopy.

It has a fully waterproof acrylic cover made from 50TT, a fabric especially designed by Dickson Constant for the wet condition in the marine environment.

Introducing the fully retractable Nationwide 'Terrasol:The ‘Terrasol’ can project up to 6 metres and each unit can be up to 5 metres wide. When units are placed side by side a 300mm gutter seals the 40mm gap between them.

With the addition of front and side panels, and patio heaters the Terrasol can instantly turn a cold wet patio into a dry, warm and comfortable dining area.

The fabric is rolled up on a profiled galvanised steel tube ø 85 mm. A rod is inserted in to the hem of the fabric cover, and the hem then engages with a groove in the tube. The tube is supported at each end on bearings and is driven by a built-in electric motor.

The tubular motor is single phase 240 Volt with a power of 320 to 410 Watts and a torque of 80 to 100 Nm. The motor is supplied with a limit switch that stops the motor automatically when the fabric is fully extended or retracted. A built-in thermal overload switch protects the motor against overheating (caused by repeated winding in and out).

Special self-supporting side channels ensure correct guidance of the fabric and front profile.
The fabric is kept under constant tension thanks to the spring system within the case. A gearbox allows easy adjustment of the spring tension.
To cope with inclement weather, single or double gutters can be installed. The fabric is specially treated so as to be waterproof.
The electrostatic polyester powder coating in different RAL-colours provides extra strength to your ‘Terrasol’ and protects it against the elements.
