Here is an installation of a Vertico Garage Door. Similar to a Roller Garage Door, the door is manufactured using individual slats though rather than rolling up and down, the door glides from left to right.
The primary advantage of the door moving in this way is to save on headroom. As you can just about make out from the Vertico installation above there is very little room between the door opening and ceiling. Installing any other type of Garage Door here would result in a loss of head height.
The mechanism for the Vertico door is a narrow track that minimises the head room required. The motor is just about visible in the image below and sits at the far end of the track .
The Vertico door is operated using a remote control or push button. In case of a powercut the mechanism can be disengaged and the door can be manually opened or closed by hand.
This customer opted for a golden oak coloured slat with a brown frame. There are many different colours that can be chosen from when purchasing a Vertico Garage Door.
